1836 - 2009 : the legacy continues ...

Established in 1836, La Martiniere For Girls is deemed to be one of the most prestigious and premier institutions of the country. Not only is it known for its academic excellence, but is also reputed for the innumerable extra-curricular activities it encourages.

The School aims to build women who lead with integrity and compassion . According to a National Survey our school has been rated as the best girls’ school in India.

Spread over acres, La Martiniere offers the facilities of a well-stocked library, two spacious auditoriums, an athletic ground, a basketball court and a swimming pool (situated in the present Boys school campus). La Martiniere for Girls , Kolkata wins the International School Award Programme for 2010 - 2013.

Mallika Arora , Kanika Issar and Yamini Mookherjee presented Gold Awards for IAYP under the Duke of Edinburgh programme by the Vice President of India , the honourable Dr. Hamid Ansari.

The Basketball team of La Martiniere for Girls , Kolkata becomes the West Bengal State Champions for the year 2010.

Ex-students are re-quested to contribute articles , snippets , photographs and suggestions to be used for the publication of a Coffee Table Book celebrating 175 years of the Schools with special focus on the journey of the school since 1986.
